Commercial Interior & Exterior Photography
Commercial interior photography of the newly renovated buildings in the gardens of RHS Wisley.
The gardens at RHS Wisley are well known to be amongst the most beautiful in the UK, so I was excited when I was asked by The Alan Nuttall Partnership to photograph the incredible job they had done fitting out the new buildings. The spacious new buildings house a garden centre, large gift shop, cafe and restaurant, and I had just one day to capture it all with my camera. I had to work quick!y! The interiors feature some amazing focal points, like a bookshop with books hanging from the ceiling, and an events space with hundred of trowels hanging from another ceiling!
The weather on the day I was there was not perfect by any means, but fortunately the clouds parted in the afternoon just in time for me to get a few shots of the outdoor part of the garden centre.
It really is an amazing space, I recommend you visit to see it with your own eyes, but until then, here are some of my favourite images.
Corporate Summer Party Photography
The summer party for Hotels.com at the lovely Shoreditch Gardens.
The British summer always seems to come and go way too fast. So whilst it’s around, you should celebrate it and enjoy it with a good old fashioned summer knees-up!
The awesome guys at Hotels.com invited me along to take some photos at their summer party, which was taking place in Shoreditch Gardens, a great pop-up summer venue in front of the Geffrye Museum. With lovely outdoor space, a fantastic marquee and some street food stalls, it makes a brilliant place for a corporate summer party.
Some of my favourite pics from the event can be seen below.
Vibrant & Colourful Event Photos
Using off-camera flash to create vibrant and colourful event photos.
I love small round table events, particularly when they’re in good venues, and I was recently at one in the Peel Room at South Place Hotel in the city of London. The room has a beautiful log wall at one end and a very cool light fitting. I love using discrete off-camera flash to light these kind of events in order to create dynamic and vibrant photos. Without adding the flash, the photos would be alright, but adding it really gives the images a look that isn’t achievable with available light or normal flash on camera. I love creating these kind of images, because they can bring photos of people talking to life.
The Champions League Trophy
Liverpool won it for a 6th time, but before that, it visited the offices of Hotels.com in London.
Picture the scene; it’s early May this year and Liverpool FC have just pulled off arguably the greatest come back of Champions League history by defeating Barcelona four goals to nil.
What better time for the Champions League trophy to visit your office? Hotels.com are a sponsor and as a result they were lucky enough to have the trophy in their office lobby for the day, along with Matt Smith, the BT Sport presenter, to interview their employees as if they’ve just finished a Champions League match. It was a very good 26 hours for English teams in the Champions League, as Tottenham Hotspur FC managed to also pull of a remarkable comeback that same evening. Check out some of my favourite photos from the day below, and if you’re a football fan, enjoy the all English final on June 1st.
