Inside Out Victoria: Nova Site Tour
At the end of September and start of October, it was time for Inside Out Victoria, a series of events run by Land Securities in order to promote all the development work that is happening in Victoria at the moment.
Anyone who has been around there in the last couple of years will have noticed how much construction and development is going on. Inside Out Victoria aims to showcase the benefits of the work by showing all the great new things people can do in the area.
I was invited along to a tour of the Nova construction site, which, when finished, will offer a mix of residential properties, commercial premises and some really top notch restaurants by some great chefs. Everyone on the tour has to don a hard hat, high viz jacket and steel capped boots, which is a great look, as this selfie will show you!
I should call myself Bob and become a builder, right?!
It was a great visit to the site, with so many workers going busily about their jobs. There was even a designated smoking area for those who liked a cigarette, and there were plenty of them. Up on the 8th floor we had a great view of London, particularly looking south towards the Battersea Power Station.
These are a few of my favourite shots from the tour.
L'Occitane En Provence Store Revamp
A few weeks ago I was invited along to Westfield in White City to take some photos at the re-opening of the L'Occitane En Provence shop, following a full refurb.
There were glasses of fizz for customers who popped in, but I think it was a bit early in the morning for most! The store looked great, as you can see in the shots below.
Blue Rubicon Summer Party
Blue Rubicon is one of London's top PR agencies whom I am privileged to work with on an increasingly frequent basis.
So I was really happy when they asked me to come along and photograph their annual summer party this year. Their party took the shape of a festival by the name of Bluebury - a little like Glastonbury but a lot more local and with a lot less big name music acts and a LOT less mud.
There was beer pong, a bucking rodeo, some bands and even rock-a-oke. It made for a great party followed by what I'm told were many sore heads the morning after.
Here are some of my fave shots.
This Girl Can
This Girl Can is a campaign by Sport England with the aim of encouraging more women to get active, do some exercise, and not worry about what anybody else thinks.
The campaign has gained a huge amount of traction and support. Anu, pictured below, loved the campaign and posted a photo of herself to the campaign website with her tag line, 'Hot and Not Bothered'. The team behind the campaign loved the line so much, they made it into a t-shirt, which can be bought along with other This Girl Can t-shirts at Marks & Spencer.
Before the t-shirts were released at M&S, I went along to Anu's local gym in Deptford, South East London, to take some photos of her wearing the t-shirt whilst casually lifting some very heavy tractor tires.
Some of my favourite shots are below, as well as a screen grab from the This Girl Can Facebook page.
