The Great People Of McDonald's

McDonald’s employs a lot of people across the UK, and I was asked to photograph a few of them whilst down at the London head offices.

The HR team at McDonald’s UK asked me to take some photos of some of the brilliant people who work in their restaurants across the country. Fortunately for me, they were all going to be in London so I didn’t have to travel all over the country to photograph them!

It was brilliant meeting all these people - each one with a unique story and personality, which is why they all love working in a team at McDonald’s. They wanted three-quarter-length photos on a white background, so I set up quite a full studio in a large meeting room, with multiple lights used to achieve the necessary high key look.

Here are some of my favourites from that day:

NHS Give Blood Campaign with BT Sport

I was asked to take a still photo on the set of an NHS & BT Sport TV ad/promo being filmed to help encourage people to give blood.

A little while ago, just before the rugby world cup kicked off in Japan, I was invited along to take a very quick photo on the set of a TV ad/promo being filmed for the NHS. The aim of the ad was to encourage more people to give blood. The NHS teamed up with BT Sport, who brought together their rugby experts and pundits (mostly but not all ex international players) in order to film this short ad which is live on BT Sport at the moment - if you watch some BT Sport over the Christmas period, you’re likely to see it.

After waiting around for about an hour for them to finish filming a particular part of the ad, I jumped on set and had to gather the attention of all the team, who were keen to eat their lunch, so that I could grab a quick photo of them all on set. I didn’t have time to set up any lighting, although there was some already set up for the sake of the ad itself.

London Office Lifestyle Photographer

Some images to showcase The Blakeney Group to the world, a fast-growing corporate communications agency in London’s West End.

I love it when clients book me because they have an appreciation for my work. So I was really happy when the fast-growing corporate communications agency, The Blakeney Group, got in touch. They wanted photography to populate their brand new website which fitted their brand and style. Having had a shoot with a photographer before which had left them with photos that were flat and uninspiring, they set about finding a new photographer online who could deliver against their brief, and fortunately for me, they came across my website and liked what they saw. Every time I go to a shoot, I want to create the best set of images I possibly can, but when a client books me because they really appreciate the work I do, that gives me an extra kick to create a killer selection of images for them.

Creative Corporate Event Photography

Capturing some creative images at a corporate event for Infosys at their new offices overlooking Old Street’s ‘Silicon’ roundabout.

A little while ago I was invited along to capture an event at some very cool new offices for Infosys, overlooking the Old Street ‘Silicon’ roundabout.

The event featured a keynote speaker and a discussion panel, and was followed by a drinks reception where there were various areas set up to showcase awesome new technologies that Infosys is working on.

The view from the office was great and we were lucky to have nice weather that day, meaning some beautiful light was flooding into the space in which the main part of the event was held.

There is definitely something to be said about a creative working environment having an effect on employee’s creativity at work. I felt like it rubbed off on me even for the short space of time I was there for. Some of my favourite images can be seen below.
