Fast Food (and Photos)
The global CEO of McDonald's, Steve Easterbrook, visiting the McDonald's where he worked as a manager back in 1993.
Picture the scene. It's a cold and wet winter's day shortly before Christmas. It's lunchtime.
McDonald's drive through in Bushey is a busy place, full of hungry customers taking a break from their day and having lunch.
The perfect moment for the global CEO of McDonald's, Steve Easterbrook, to visit the store where he first worked as a McDonald's manage in 1993, and see it doing so well.
I was there to simply take a photo of the current restaurant crew with Steve, so we set it up and took the photo in less than a minute. It's far from a perfect photo, but sometimes speed is more important when working with people like Steve. He didn't want to interrupt the lunchtime rush more than was necessary, so it was a quick job!
Christmas Shopping All Done?
The Christmas spirit is in full flow at Fenwick on New Bond Street.
If you've not finished your Christmas shopping just yet, maybe you could pop down to Fenwick on New Bond Street. They've got a great Christmas shop upstairs with gifts of all kinds in one department. I was at the store a little while ago taking some photos of their Christmas displays which don't disappoint! Check them out...
Sports Betting Conference
A conference at Lords Cricket Ground about integrity in the sports betting industry.
Earlier this month I was lucky enough to be invited along to Lords Cricket Ground, commonly known as the home of cricket, to photograph a conference being run by ESSA, a not for profit organisation focused on upholding integrity within the sports betting industry.
The conference was entitled 'Integrity in Sports Betting: what's at stake?' and was a very interesting look at the measures bookmakers and sporting organisations are taking to tackle problems like match fixing.
The conference attendees were also given a tour of Lords just as the sun was setting, which made for a beautiful view of the pitch and stadium in the early evening light.
Here are some of my favourite images from the day.
Capital One Office Design
Capital One, the American bank, has moved its London team into awesome new offices right on London's famous Silicon Roundabout.
A little while ago I was asked to visit the very cool new offices of Capital One, right on London's Silicon Roundabout.
Capital One, an American bank with its UK headquarters in Nottingham, has recently brought together all its London staff under one roof. And it's a roof with a garden, view, and running track (yes, you read that correctly). The new offices are in the uber cool White Collar Factory, which is on the corner of Old St, right in the heart of the tech centre.
The office has been fitted out and designed with collaboration at its heart, and the open and flexible work spaces are really inviting. Here are a few of my favourite shots.
