How Does It Work When You Book A PR Shoot?

01.

Enquiry & Estimate

Once you enquire, I will ask, if you have not already provided them, the key information about your shoot.

Is there a specific time and date when the shoot is taking place?

Where is the shoot taking place?

I will get back to you with a quote for the shoot.

02.

Book Shoot Date

If you choose to accept the quote, then I will lock the shoot date into my calendar.

03.

photography brief

Closer to the shoot date, I ask my clients to provide me with a photography brief.

It doesn’t need to be long (that’s one of the reasons it’s called a brief!) but it needs to outline a few things:

  1. The background of the end client for whom the shoot is for
  2. The communications objective for the campaign.
  3. An idea of the images you are looking for from the shoot.
  4. Any key photos that you specifically need captured.
  5. Any other salient info regarding any people involved in the shoot.
  6. The deadline for the shoot.

Day of Shoot

On the day of the shoot, I will arrive 30 minutes before I am due to start taking photos, often longer, so that I can ensure I’m ready to start on time.

05.

Post-Production & Delivery

After The Shoot

After the shoot is done, depending on the deadline, I will sometimes download the photos to my computer so I can review them with you and/or the client. We can make our selections then and there so I can crack on with any necessary post-production.

I will upload the individually edited images to a private online gallery from which you can download all the photos. I leave the captioning of the images to you.
